How to identify

To identify if a battery needs to be replaced, customers should remove the battery from the computer and view the battery label (see photo). If this has a number ending with G1L1, the battery should be exchanged. If a battery does not have this specific number ending, it is not impacted and not part of the exchange program. No other notebook (AMILO, AMILO Pro or LIFEBOOK) are involved in

How to identify the notebook model number

Please look at the bottom of the system to find a label that will indicate the notebook model number. You will find the model number in the middle of the label.

If the model number corresponds to one of the impacted models, the battery should be removed to check the label and the battery pack ending number.

How to identify the battery pack ending number

  • Switch the notebook off and pull the power plug out of the mains socket.

  • Close the LCD screen so that it locks into place.

  • Disconnect all cables connected to the notebook.

  • Turn your notebook over and place it on a sturdy, flat surface.

  • Push the battery lock in the direction of the arrows and hold in into place. (The arrow is shown on the battery lock)

  • Remove the battery from the battery compartment.
Additional information can be found in the User Manual for your notebook computer in the section “Notebook views” numbers 30 and 31.
If the battery pack ending number has G1L1 (see diagram circled in red), the battery should be replaced. Battery packs with any other ending numbers are not impacted.
